Dear all who actually read this,
I figured it twas time for another journal to be written. I just finished an old school black and white photography class at the Academy. In the class we actually used real film cameras and had to develop our own film. It was so cool and so much fun, if you ever have the opportunity develop your own film I highly recommend you do it. I was pleasantly surprised at how my pictures turned out and all of the people in our class will actually be featured in an art gallery. Now in my area there is a huge political discussion going on. I am not going to go into detail about it but here are two points everyone should know before the debate
1.Communism is a social structure in which classes are abolished and property is commonly controlled, as well as a political philosophy and social movement that advocates and aims to create such a society.
Karl Marx posited that communism would be the final stage in society, which would be achieved through a proletarian revolution and only possible after a transitional stage develops the productive forces, leading to a superabundance of goods and services.
2.Socialism is an economic and political theory based on public or common ownership and cooperative management of the means of production and allocation of resources.
In a socialist economic system, production is carried out by a public association of producers to directly produce use-values (instead of exchange-values), through coordinated planning of investment decisions, distribution of surplus, and the use of the means of production. Socialism is a set of social and economic arrangements based on a post-monetary system of calculation, such as labour time, energy units or calculation-in-kind.
Now does everyone see the difference? Good, then STOP USING THEM LIKE THEY ARE THE SAME THING!! It bothers me to no end and I will forever make fun of you if as a person going into politics you can not discern two different political philosophies. Now that is all cleared up. I hope all of you are having a wonderful sumer.
Best wishes,
